Wilderness Management Area Elephant Mountain

We traveled 9 hours from Dallas and stayed at the WMA at Elephant Mountain. On our way, we followed a snow plow and set up for the blizzard weather.

We set up and enjoyed the sunset. The reflection on the mountain is magical.

We experienced strong winds and woke up to snow!

Augusta Canal Trail, GA

Points West Army Resort, GA

Points West Army Resort. was our home for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Stephanie and Blake arranged us a fabulous campsite on the water on this Army Resort. It offered a lot of activities and very busy.

Blake and Stephanie meet us when we arrived with dinner! Yea, because we were hungry and ready to eat!

Payne Lake, Alabama

Craig and Norma stopped for a couple of nights at Payne Lake Campground in Alabama on our way to spend Thanksgiving with our daughter's Stephanie and Melody. We stayed on a site with a lake view November 21st-22nd!

The campground was full of hunters so very quiet during the day but was surprised to see deer hanging to dry in the morning. Then as the day progressed we learning how the hunters would be skinning the deer and processing the meat. I was thinking the $1.86 to pay for the deer to be processed would be worth it!!

Texas Tech and Baylor Adventure

An exciting adventure for Sherry, Bill, Craig and I going to the Shootout between Baylor and Texas Tex. We found the perfect spot in parking 4 with a little grass to set up. 

Craig set up out tailgate party with cooking the brats in beer. The rest of us set up the canopy and snacks.

Everything paused when the Tech Team arrived! 

We had a neighbor who had a TV with the Texas Ranger. Sherry enjoyed catching up on all the sports playing. 

The game view was perfect!

Finally we were able to catch up with Bill and Sherry's daughter, Brittany! She is the only girl in the Texas Tech Band! She rocks!

Lake Texoma

We went to explore Eisenhower State Park. The park has numerous areas to camp.

I came across a few new friends and we finally found our way to the lake after a 3 mile hike. Mia enjoyed her swim.

We love this spot for camping in cooler weather. 

On Sunday, we rented a Hobie mirage with the Hobie pedal drives. Didn't even need the paddle 🚣

A Weekend Retreat to Lake Murray, OK

After a month of hot weather and a few updates on the RV we are on the road again. We are off to Lake Murray.

Lake Murray State Park is Oklahoma's first and largest state park consisting of 12,500 acres located on the shores of beautiful Lake Murray. The park's diverse terrain, exceptional trails and historic sites make Lake Murray State Park a favorite destination among outdoor, water sport and ATV riding enthusiasts. 

The dogs and I love the water front views and the breeze. 

We went on a motorcycle adventure on Saturday to meet the BMW Lone star Riders Club in Chickasaw National Recreation Area  in the Bromide Pavilion for the 10 year Hamburger Cookout.
