Fishing Finally!

Coyote Creek State Park, in New Mexico offer cool water for the fish and a chance for me to try my luck at fishing. The creek was stocked two weeks back and the camp host said those that remained were small, or very smart. He said they hide in the holes and are a challenge to catch.

First catch of the day! Three more caught and then..
Look who just pulled up. She has come to restock the creek, Look she is releasing 10-12" Rainbow Tout into the creek! Oh my, it doesn't get better than this.

My brother Erik showed up and is fishing the exact spot she just release 200 fish! What was interesting is released fish had no interest in our fly's. They say they need time to acclimate. The fish were schooling and not interested. After an hour they started to show some interest. Erik caught a bunch.
