Coyote Creek State Park in New Mexico

We were ready for less wind and cooler temperature so we are moving North towards Colorado. We found a quiet spot at Coyote Creek State Park. The park is nestled in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and Coyote Creek curves through the park. We heard it offered the best fishing in the area but soon found out it is stocked once a month. Good news the camp host is hopefully they will stock in this week.  No worries... it did not stop Craig and Erik from fishing. Good news Craig caught his first fish of the trip!

Norma hummingbird feeders finally have some action. She is working on photography this summer so the action for the hummingbirds are keeping her busy. We are loving the music of the hummingbirds and nature all around us.

Norma and Nancy hiked the one trail this morning. The trail loop around ridge above the park, about 1.5 miles but uphill in many areas. We could see the layout of the park which offers 11 electric and water sites near a playground for children. The sites we choose are in the back of the park without electric but quieter and offer us more space.
